This is your opportunity to take your career to the next level and make a lasting impact on the people of Greenwich and Bexley.

The Challenge Events Fundraiser is a key role in a busy fundraising team, responsible for maximising engagement, support and income generated through third-party and hospice-led bespoke challenge events.

Main duties of the job

Your creativity, energy and strategic vision will be key to delivering experiences that surprise and engage our supporters. Youll play a pivotal role in crafting thoughtful stewardship plans, building strong relationships and ensuring that every participant feels valued and motivated to support the hospice.

This role offers you the chance to take ownership of a diverse event portfolio, shape strategies with fresh, innovative ideas, and work autonomously, making confident decisions that ensure the success of each event.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at multitasking and have a keen eye for detail, youll be a perfect fit for our team. Were seeking a proactive self-starter with a proven track record in event planning and delivery, and someone who is passionate about engaging with supporters and delivering top-notch experiences. If youre ready to embark on an exciting new chapter and make a real difference, wed love to hear from you.

Community Hospice is a charity dedicated to providing free, high quality, compassionate care and support for adults with terminal illnesses, their families, and their professional carers in the London Boroughs of Royal Greenwich and Bexley. At any one time we are caring for around 750 people and in total we care for around 3,000 people each year in the community; in their homes, care homes, in our hospice beds and hospice-based clinics, in the local prisons and in hospital.

We are a prominent and respected charity at the heart of the local community. We believe that every person facing death should have the best quality of life possible, experience dignity, peace and comfort and be supported to make the choices that are right for them. We have approximately 200 amazing colleagues and 400 fantastic volunteers across our organisation who work together towards this goal.

In our hospice, each role makes a difference. We aspire to reflect the communities that we serve, and we welcome applications from people of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences. We value diversity and believe our differences enrich the care we provide to local people. Diversity also helps us as colleagues by helping us to see different perspectives, encouraging us to challenge ourselves, learn, innovate, and adapt.
