Full Job Description

In this role, we are looking for established change professionals who bring a delivery focus, creativity, and a lean-agile mindset to deliver quality outcomes for our customers and colleagues. You will be responsible for running projects, based on change initiatives across the directorate. You will play a pivotal role in managing project plans, researching issues, identifying solutions, and keeping project documentation and stakeholders updated. As a Change Delivery Lead - Projects, you will be working closely with teams across both technical and non-technical areas of the business, optimising value, and ensuring the delivery of projects in the most efficient way. This role is part of the Business Assurance Group within the Highways, Transport and Planning Directorate. The Business Assurance Group are responsible for Business assurance, Continuous improvement, Parish liaison, Performance & data and Systems and development. What we need from you:

  • Experience of developing and executing a comprehensive change delivery strategy aligned with organisational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and systems as part of the change initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by gathering feedback, analysing results, and implementing enhancements to the change delivery process.
  • Identify potential obstacles and proactively develop mitigation plans to minimize disruptions during the change process.
  • Craft and deliver clear and effective communication plans to keep stakeholders informed about upcoming changes, progress, and milestones.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders at various levels to understand their needs, address concerns, and build a shared understanding of the change objectives.
  • Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE 2) or equivalent practical experience.

    Significant knowledge of effective qualitative and quantitative research, evaluation, consultation and information gathering techniques.
  • Strong project management skills, with proficiency in project planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Experience in Agile and/or Lean methodologies.
