Full Job Description

As a Chaperone Driver at Sodexo at HM Naval Base, Portsmouth, you'll be responsible for escorting deliveries with the naval base, no two days will be the same! You will escort visitors within the Naval base as requested ensuring that the highest level of security is always maintained. This role is client facing, and you'll interact with our Armed forces personnel every day, improving quality of life for all that you meet. Join Sodexo and be part of something greater.   • Greet all visitors in a friendly, polite, and professional manner, escort them to the correct location, handover to customer or return then to the main gate
  • Complete the Chaperones process via the company process
  • Maintain excellent client/customer/team relationships
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times
  • Care for all available resources including equipment, materials and supplies as directed
  • Report any near miss occurrences, accidents or faulty equipment to management
  • Notify your line manager of any customer complaints and/or compliments
  • Raise any security concerns immediately with the authority personnel
  • Diligently take and hand over every duty shift ensuring that a full check of the daily occurrence and incident report books is carried out on each takeover of duty.

    People Friendly, Customer service skills are essential
  • Held a full clean UK Driving license for 2 years or more
  • Able to work within a team environment
  • Good communications skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Able to adhere to demonstrate attention to detail and adhere to standards
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
