Full Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Band 6 Junior Sister /Charge Nurse to join our team.

As a Sister/Charge Nurse you should possess proficient clinical, communication, mentoring and leadership skills and demonstrate an interest in surgical nursing.

In return, you will be supported to develop further you leadership and speciality clinical skills

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to work as an integral member of the vascular nursing team. We require someone to work either full time or 34.5 hours per week.

Level 8 Tower Ward is a 37-bedded surgical in-patient area, the regional hub for complex vascular surgery. The nursing team are amidst the most experienced in wound care management and pain control. The post holder will work in collaboration with the vascular nurse specialist and as part of a large multi disciplinary team.

You will be working alongside our new ward manager and matron at this exciting time of changes.

This role is being offered full time (37.5 hours per week) This role will involve long days from 07:00 til 19:30 including night shift at times 19:00- 07:30

We welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses., Shift coordinating on the ward of bed flow management with liaising with clinical site management team. Ensuring excellent standards and safe practice are applied by junior staff members on the ward .

Liaising with the vascular MDT to ensure excellent standard of patient care is fulfilled throughout the patients journey. Taking part in board round and ward round, updating the team to any changes.
