Are you eager to make a positive impact in healthcare and the local community? As the Charity Communications and Development Officer at Hertfordshire Community Trust (HCT), you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the Trust's charitable initiatives and driving engagement with staff, patients, and stakeholders. In this role, you will lead projects to enhance HCT's charity presence, including redesigning the charity's website, developing donation tools, and establishing strong branding. Working with the Communications, Digital, and Finance teams, you'll engage stakeholders and create compelling content to promote charitable giving. You'll also coordinate and support internal and external charity events, driving involvement from staff, patients, and the broader community. Your ability to build relationships and deliver key messages will help ensure that our charity initiatives thrive. You will foster a culture of giving by engaging with high-value donors, collaborating with NHS Charities Together, and supporting fundraising campaigns that make a real difference. We're seeking an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills and a genuine passion for charitable work.   • Develop Charity's web presence, communications and branding to support charity growth through effective market research, communications strategy and engagement with external stakeholders, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Create charitable funds pages on Trust intranet and website and put in place sustainable mechanisms for updating them as required, supported by Communications team.
  • Establish effective communications mechanisms to communicate key information effectively across the organisation.
  • Work effectively with External and Internal Audit on charitable funds activity and development, explain working papers, processes and evidence these accordingly, supported by Communications and Finance teams.
  • Provide advice to budget holders and staff, and externally around accessing charitable funds, supported by Trust's Finance Team.
  • Work with colleagues responsible for automation to help identify, document and agree processes for automation in charitable giving and fundraising, supported by Finance team.
  • Plan, organise, and manage own workload and keep to deadlines, in an environment where priorities frequently change.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective systems and processes for general administrative support, maximising use of technology.
  • Manage and co-ordinate initiatives and events, ensuring all elements are covered and deadlines achieved, supported by Communications team.
  • Engage with staff at all levels, responding to questions about charitable funds activity.
