Charity Director

Do you have a passion for helping people, and the confidence to manage a wealth of projects and a dedicated team of staff and volunteers?, The Charity Director will develop and implement plans and activities on behalf of the Board of Trustees to realise the vision of the charity to benefit members. The post holder will enable the smooth running of the charity by managing staff, volunteers and interns, efficiently managing projects, ensuring the growth of the charity by securing funds, networking with local organisations to influence change, and raising awareness more widely.

We are looking for candidates with several years management experience, an understanding of chronic illness and its impact, knowledge of local voluntary and community sector, and awareness of how the local health and social care systems work.

Candidates will need to demonstrate strong experience in project management, team management, accurately reporting on activity and impact, fundraising and budget management.

Essential skills include managing diverse workload against deadlines, excellent communication, presentation, writing and IT skills, ability to empower team members and Group members to work together in a thriving environment.
