What will you be doing?
Menu Planning and Seasonality:
- Create menus that dance with seasonal ingredients where possible, ensuring freshness and delight for our residents.
- Balance creativity with cost-effectiveness.
- Dream up crave-worthy, innovative dishes that align with our brand identity.
- Design recipes that fit within our kitchen's capabilities and equipment.
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and taste. Our guests deserve nothing less than perfection.
- Manage inventory efficiently to minimise waste and maximise flavour.
- Understand food and labour costs and work within a pricing strategy.
- Craft menus that not only tantalize taste buds but also keep our business thriving.
Whilst it would be amazing if you had experience working in a care setting, welcome applications from all sectors! - Proven experience as Chef.
- Holder of a food hygiene certificate or equivalent

There are no fixed visiting hours so friends and family can come and see residents at any time. The dining experience at Appletree Court boasts fine home cooking by a professional Chef who has created a menu to reflect the interests and tastes of the discerning residents. Activities and day trips are an integral part of the resident†s
well being. The activities coordinator encourages and helps residents continue with existing interests and also introduces new hobbies. Frequently residents are taken on day trips near and a little further from the home. The trips are very popular and recently, days out to Southend on Sea, Brent Cross Shopping Centre, RAF Museum Colindale, Crews Hill Garden Centre and Paradise Wildlife Park, Broxbourne have been greatly enjoyed. Respite care at Appletree Court is very popular and enables those wishing to experience what the Home has to offer before making a full commitment.
