Full Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Chef/Cook to join our hospital kitchen team and help provide nutritious and delicious meals for our patients, staff, and visitors., As a Chef, you will play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals that meet specific dietary needs. The position requires flexibility, with shifts available on an ad hoc basis throughout the week, including weekends. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a positive impact in a healthcare setting., Prepare and cook meals for patients, staff, and visitors, considering dietary requirements and preferences.
Ensure food is presented to high standards, adhering to food hygiene and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth and efficient operation.
Manage food inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including allergy
awareness.

Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a healthcare or high-volume setting.
Knowledge of dietary needs (e.g., allergies, nutritional requirements, religious considerations).
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work flexibly, with availability for ad hoc shifts, including weekends.
Food Hygiene and Safety Certification (preferred but not essential).

Competitive hourly rate: £12 Monday - Friday, £15 Saturday, £19 Sunday
