Chef Assistant

Assisting Chefs with day to day cooking and prepping of food
- Potential to train to get your NVQ level 2 in culinary
- You will be performing the day to day tasks of a Chef and learning on the job
- Working well as part of a team, supporting one another and communicating well
- Learning how to follow recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals
- Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence
- Assisting with deliveries and stock checks
- Placing food orders and maintaining kitchen records
- Sharing responsibility with the Chef manager/Catering manager for the checking, probing and signing of all food deliveries
- Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets and serveries.
- Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans
- Full knowledge of all menu items served
- Undertaking relevant training as required.

No experience, just a willingness to learn and a passion for cooking!
- Excellent team player and communicator
- DBS required
- Flexibility and the ability to innovate

Hourly rate of £11.55
- Full time - 35 hours per week - 5 days over 7
- Shifts range between 6.30am - 3pm
