An opportunity exists for a suitable individual to work within the Facility Operations as a Chef at Callerton Academy About us: Facility Services and Civic Management work across the city and Gateshead providing building cleaning, caretaking, school meals and welfare catering services. We have a large team of Cleaners, Cleaner Supervisors, Facility Supervisors (Caretakers), Catering Assistants, Assistant Chefs and Chefs working various hours and shifts in schools and public buildings.

We are currently looking for a reliable and friendly person with a positive attitude to join our team as a Chef. It is essential you hold a minimum NVQ level 2 in Food Processing and Cooking or equivalent. You must also have a minimum of 3 years' experience of working within a busy catering environment.,

  • Has a Level 2 in Food Processing and Cooking (or equivalent)
  • Has experience of supervision or leadership of a team
  • Can manage and motivate others
  • Can deliver high standards of meal production and service
  • Can demonstrate good relationships with stakeholders
  • Is self-motivated and able to work to fixed deadlines
  • Can demonstrate high standards of customer service
  • Can develop and introduce new ideas for menus and foodservice
  • Has strong interpersonal skills and is positive, innovative and solution focused
  • Has experience of working in a catering environment
