Full Job Description

We are looking for for a chef/cook to work in the kitchen Monday to Friday 32.5 hours per week. The shift times will be 7-2pm
Pay from £11.94 per hour, with enhancement for all overtime.

To prepare menus in advance in a regular and varied way, ensuring that the nutritional requirements are met for all residents, including any specific dietary requirements
To ensure that all meals are prepared and presented to a high standard and quality
Prepare cakes and desserts
Maintain professional knowledge and competence
To ensure that all cleaning is carried out as per company procedure
To be aware of and maintain service user's privacy and dignity at all times
Adhere to and monitor Company's waste policy
Report any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by any of your staff to your Manager immediately
Ensure Environment Health requirements are met and inspections are hosted in a professional manner.
Highlight any concerns, for example equipment , staff or hazards, to the Manager

Staff may be required to wear PPE including masks, undergo regular LFT and PCR testing if required according to government guidelines at the time.
Previous experience of working in a kitchen environment or willingness to learn
Good basic education, willing to undertake NVQ training.
Basic baking skills
Experience with the elderly and sensitive to the needs of others.
Self-motivated and organised an active team player and able to work on own initiative under supervision or to lead others.
Ability to communicate effectively, in English at all levels and give accurate information when required.
Satisfactory enhanced DBS and check against the SOVA List (where applicable)
