The National Railway Museum in York offers a distinctive and historic venue for conferences, events, and exhibitions, featuring a variety of adaptable spaces to suit different event sizes and formats. From hosting intimate meetings and exhibitions to pre-dinner receptions and gala dinners in the iconic Great Hall, our venue provides a truly unique setting for memorable occasions. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our dedicated catering team at the National Railway Museum. In this role, you will contribute to delivering exceptional culinary experiences for our diverse range of events, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. • Preparing, cooking and presenting delicious, high-quality food to menu specifications, on a day-to-day basis as well as special events
• Taking pride in your work and share agreed standards with your team
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator
• Ensuring that Compass standards and procedures are followed
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
