Full Job Description

We are seeking an organised and conscientious Chef Manager, who possesses flair and creativity, to join one of our established clients at their existing site and a new campus based in Birmingham. This is a busy and varied role where you will be managing a small team at each site and helping to prepare and cook up to 50-60 meals per sitting per day from a rolling menu, or covering if they are absent. You will ideally have an NVQ Level 3 in Catering or equivalent along with a Level 3 in Food Safety and proven experience as a head chef in corporate events, contract catering or hospitality. In addition, you will be resilient, manage your time effectively, possess good communication and customer service skills and be able to handle multiple priorities. Leading from the front you will be responsible for the following:

  • Health and Safety (including risk assessments and allergen checks)
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Stock Control
  • Audits
  • Staff training and briefings
  • This role will be working Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 4:00pm with some occasional evening work as and when required.
