We have an exciting opportunity at our site in Wantage, Oxfordshire, for a Chef to join the team at Accent working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. Shift pattern: 7.00am to 3.00pm with 30min unpaid break. The food offer is fresh food cooked from scratch so excellent culinary skills are required with a passion for giving children the best possible lunch experience. You will be working with a team of staff and you will report to the Chef Manager.

  • Have excellent craft skills
  • Self-motivated and have previous chef experience
  • Have a proven track record of continually improving standards
  • Support the catering manager with stock take and day to day operations of the catering service
  • Have good communication skills at all levels
  • Be passionate about food with a great eye for detail
  • Have a desire to learn and grow with us as a company
  • Be an innovative person with a positive out going disposition and a can-do approach
  • Be a team player
  • This is a customer facing position so in addition to the above you will also need good communication skills and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the English language.
