Full Job Description

We are excited to be using an e-prescribing system and you will use this to electronically sign for administered chemotherapy. You will use your strong organisational skills to maintain accurate nursing records, schedule further treatments and attend meetings. You will draw on your experience to solve problems and deputize in multi-disciplinary team meetings in the absence of the Senior Sister., Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust provides NHS hospital services for around 900,000 people across Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and south Buckinghamshire.

We are looking for dynamic, motivated Junior Sister/ Charge Nurse who are passionate about chemotherapy to join our team. We provide high standards of care to patients receiving chemotherapy treatments and this role is vital in achieving this. You will be responsible for co-ordinating the daily scheduled patient list and allocating the workload appropriately. You will actively be involved in delivering chemotherapy in a safe and efficient way, along triaging patients using the UKONS system., Ideally, you will be an experienced Chemotherapy Nurse who has completed an accredited course in chemotherapy nursing practice and ideally have experience in working within a haematology / oncology or chemotherapy environment. Chemotherapy training can be provided if the candidate has other relevant experience. We have a dedicated practice development team to drive your professional development and actively support you to complete further courses including the haemto-oncology course and cancer care module.
