Full Job Description

We are looking for real leadership qualities with desire to develop nto a more senior management role in the future. You will be expected to lead, motivate and influence individuals both within and external to the organisation, whilst being able to juggle the competing demands of the role. We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-organized administrator to join our busy Chest Unit at PRUH. You will be responsible for providing an effective service within the Chest Unit team, dealing directly with patients in the department and over the phone., This post offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and conscientious individual to be a part of a busy team. The work involves managing a booking officer, the Chest Unit and will be responsible for ensuring that all Chest Unit lists are administered effectively and support the delivery of high-quality care for patient's outpatient appointments for patients, dealing with referrals from wards, together with incoming queries and day-to-day administrative duties.
The successful candidate must have experience of performing administrative duties in an NHS or private hospital setting, as well as experience managing/supervising a team. Excellent communication and organizational skills, to be able to work well in a team. We are looking for someone who can multitask, have strong administration abilities and can prioritise their own workload. The successful candidate will ideally have a background in operational management and have experience in the delivery and management of waiting lists and Referral to Treatment (RTT) targets as well as DM01 (diagnostics)., · Please ensure you check your NHS Jobs account regularly as this is how we will communicate with you.

Familiar with I.T. packages, have a good telephone manner with the ability to take clear messages and perform general office duties. You will have a good general education with the equivalent of GCSE's in English and Math's at Grade A-C and have an attention to detail. A willingness to learn and develop skills will be positively encouraged.
