Full Job Description

You are a seasoned General Manager, Commercial Director or Senior Manager seeking to make the next step to an executive role in running a financially secure business.

As CEO, you will lead the Company by building on its current organic certification and allied sustainable land use accreditation schemes alongside the development of new accreditation services within the farming and food supply chains.

Whether your background is in farming or within the wider food supply chain, you will have strong commercial experience and a successful track record in senior management positions.

The people within this business tend to stay and so building and maintaining a strong, high performing team is important.

You will report to the Board of Directors and will have the support and expertise from within the Board to draw on in driving the strategic future of the Company.

This role is available following the partial retirement of the current CEO and you will have the opportunity of a full handover with the current incumbent.,

  • Review financial and non-financial reports and make high-quality financial and operational decisions to ensure the Company's performance is consistent with the overall financial and strategic targets set out by the Board.


  • Enforce adherence to legal guidelines and the OF&G Quality Management System to maintain the company's legality, integrity and business ethics


  • Recruit, develop and retain talented people at OF&G to ensure strong Certification, Quality Systems and Administrative teams.


  • Develop high quality business strategies and proposals in line with the short-term and long-term objectives agreed by the Board


  • Oversee and co-ordinate all communications with operators across all schemes. Clearly define the Company's strategic messaging,


  • Co-ordinate, oversee and directly engage with (where appropriate) wider relevant sector policy initiatives where it is in the Company's interest.


  • Build trusted relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important stakeholders.

    Proven track record in senior management position


  • An understanding of current workplace legislation


  • An understanding of business finances including budgets, P&L and balance sheets


  • Excellent levels of oral and written communication


  • Computer skills - ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and database programmes


  • Experience working in the relevant areas within which the Company operates would be desirable
