Full Job Description

This is a fixed term post for 12 months. The post holder will be required to work on Thursdays, when the ND multidisciplinary meetings take place, As a vital member of our ND team, you will have the opportunity to engage in psychodynamic work alongside generic CAMHS work, further broadening your scope of professional practice and enhancing your clinical skills. You will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert psychodynamic assessment, formulation, and therapy to children, young people, and families with complex mental health presentations.
  • In conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, conducting comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments, psychological formulation, care planning and interventions.
  • Contributing to the development of care plans for children and young people with ASD, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
  • Coordinating care, managing communications with parents and professionals and liaising with various agenciesinvolved in the care of children and young people referred to the team.
  • Offering psychodynamic consultation to non-psychotherapist colleagues and other professionals.
