Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available to join our team. The post holder will support the Child Death Review Manager in delivering the CDR service which will include working closely with the lead clinicians, lead professionals and lead health practitioners, including the Designated Doctor for Child Death, preparing for and facilitating the Joint Agency Response (JAR) and Child Death Review meetings. They will also manage and support the Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care Unit administrative team and provide a day-to-day operational Support to the Service Manager, with the aim of ensuring that from a non-clinical perspective the specialities are running effectively and efficiently., To support the clinical and management teams in the day to day running of the Child Death Review Service. To line manage the Paediatric secretarial/admin team overseeing the consultants' clinics, waiting list. The post holder will support the delivery of administrative and clerical support services and the development of quality information management systems, facilitating operational delivery and act as a patient advocate and problem solver during the patient's journey. To manage a team of A&C staff on the day-to-day operational delivery of administration and clerical work, including line management responsibilities and workload monitoring. Manage human and financial resources to help deliver local and national performance targets, and other national standards.

Our aim is to provide an excellent, safe and innovative service that is child and family orientated. We are developing new services to help reduce inpatient admission while we work towards more consultant led provision of care.

We have a comprehensive range of paediatric specialist services in both medical and surgical fields. These are supported by PICU and NICU. Our medical specialities include: Allergy, Asthma, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Haematology, Infectious Diseases, Neurology, Epilepsy, Respiratory and Rheumatology with a joint treatment centre for Oncology with the Royal Marsden Hospital. These services offer a seamless transition from birth through to transition to adulthood.
