Full Job Description

Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Permanent

Working in a small, dedicated team your role will be to work in partnership with other agencies to ensure an effective multi-agency response to the prevention and protection of children at risk of exploitation, trafficking or going missing from home or care.

Within the multi -agency hub you'll undertake assessments and intensive direct work with young people where the overriding concern is that of exploitation, that may be as the case holder or in a co-working capacity with children already open to the service. Using Signs of Safety as a model of intervention to support sound social work practice. Our work is underpinned by the principles of trauma informed practice and the Lundy model of Participation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified level 2 or 3 social worker who is enthusiastic and hardworking, with a strong record of working with young people and their families to achieve positive outcomes.

Based at Wigston Police Station with the Safeguarding Hub working with multi-agency colleagues. This post is for full time hours 37 hrs per week Monday - Thursday 8.30 - 5 Friday 8.30 - 4.30.

Due to the post being based at a police station it will subject to Management Vetting & Security Clearance within Leicestershire Police. The post is subject to successful clearance and maintenance of this.
