Full Job Description

The role is part of a team providing a comprehensive data collection, collation and reporting service in regard to screening and immunisation programs and records management which provides support to the screening services, 0-25 services, GPs, other community childrens services and NHS England., Maintain electronic records and medical records in respect of pre-school children and school children, following the departments standard operating procedures and to support the Healthy Child Programme. Register details for children onto the Child Health Information System (Systmone)and ensuring all babies have an NHS number allocated. Ensure an accurate database; managing system tasks, file/scan correspondence into records, updating demographic details as necessary. Handling information of a highly sensitive nature (Safeguarding) paying particular attention to protected addresses. Accurately record results and generate results to parents letters in respect of screening, investigate missing results with responsible clinician. Checking all data input (including that of colleagues) as part of the department data audit process.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
