Children's Healthcare Assistant

Are you a nurturing and dedicated individual who thrives from supporting and working with children?, Our service user is an interactive 5-year-old girl who lives in her loving family home in Blackburn and requires support with her complex care needs throughout the day and night.

She is a happy and content little girl who thrives on interaction with her family and care team, particularly when engaging in playtime activities. She loves to play with musical toys, enjoys listening to music and watching cartoons on TV, especially Mr. Bean.

Throughout the day you will ensure all her care needs are met, providing support with her personal care, moving and handling, being vigilant to her care needs and attending to her clinical care needs when required. You will engage through play, promote her learning and development, and ensure she has the right tools to thrive and grow.

Throughout the night you will provide support with her personal care, repositioning, being vigilant to her care needs, make clinical observations and attending to her clinical care needs when required. You will provide a peaceful environment, offering comfort and reassurance when needed to promote a restful night's sleep.

We are looking for experienced and committed Healthcare Assistants with an interactive approach, who are eager to enhance their skills in the complex care sector.

You will need to be passionate about delivering the highest quality care to our service users, building positive relationships with them and their family whilst empowering them to live as independently as possible within the comfort of their own home.,

• 3 months' previous care experience


• Medication Administration


• Personal Care


• Moving and Handling


• Clinical Care exposure with Children


Experience working with the following clinical needs is desirable, however is not essential to be considered for this role:

• Ventilation Management


• Gastrostomy Care (PEG)


• Nebuliser Care


• Tracheostomy care
