Full Job Description

The Great North Children's Hospital is looking to recruit a number of enthusiastic, caring and committed Healthcare Assistants to join our outstanding workforce across both inpatient, outpatient and day case areas. We want our Children and Young People to receive the best possible care, and the right candidate will need to be passionate, caring and proactive. If you feel this is you, we would love to hear from you. The successful candidates will be supported by an established Multidisciplinary team within the framework of a dynamic Children's Hospital. You will be responsible in ensuring that our service users' needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care. Please expand the job details section and read all of the information before applying for the vacancy, The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of clinical work when carrying out observations and procedures.
  • Observations include heights, weights, blood pressures, blood sugars, and urine analysis. A desirable requirement for this role is to have venepuncture skills, but this is not essential as you will be offered training if successful. You will also be responsible for ordering supplies and equipment for the department or ward area.
