Full Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen within Brent paediatric therapy services for a B5 paediatric physiotherapist.
This exciting post will offer experience and training in community paediatric physiotherapy, giving you an opportunity to develop your skills and competencies across a range of different ages and paediatric conditions in community settings.
You will be based at The Village Special School and will receive support from a B7 specialist physiotherapist within the team and the B4 physiotherapy assistant.
There will also be opportunities to support CYP in community settings, including home visits and clinics.
We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic paediatric physiotherapist with appropriate physiotherapy skills to join our friendly, supportive paediatric therapy team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists and assistants.
We are dedicated to developing innovative services and work collaboratively with our local Child Developmental Team, Education and Social Care services, with joint assessments and discussion forums., To support provision of a high-quality children's physiotherapy service to a caseload of children and young people with identified physiotherapy needs and of children and young people with physiotherapy outcomes identified in their Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
The post holder will provide specialist physiotherapy to children attending special schools will and community settings.
The post holder will be supported using the APCP Professional Development Programme, regular support, and supervision and in service training.
To carry out specific assessments and interventions with children and young people, as delegated by a senior Physiotherapist.
To carry a caseload and work independently in special school and community settings, to support children and young people's physiotherapy needs as appropriate and physiotherapy needs as outlined in their EHC plans.
To support and work with Physiotherapy Assistants to implement therapy programmes to identified children and young people.
As a member of the integrated team you will provide a high quality physiotherapy service to Children & Young People, aged 0 to19 years in Brent.
You will hold a varied SEN caseload, and will be expected to undertake specialist Physiotherapy assessments and devise client centred treatment interventions.
The post holder will also contribute to physiotherapy plans for young people transitioning into adult services., Interview arrangements will be communicated via email so please check your email regularly following the closing date.
