Full Job Description

Are you a registered Paediatric Nurse looking for a new challenge? Then we have an exciting B5 opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in clinical research., Due to internal promotion and expansion of the team, we are looking to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic individual to our research nurse post. Our team of nurses work across a range of specialties, including dermatology, endocrinology, nephrology, gastroenterology, metabolic, and neurology to name a few, and in partnership with the clinical specialty teams.

As a skilled member of the team you will be providing a high standard of holistic, family-centred clinical care to children and their families participating in research studies. With support from the Senior Research Nursing Team, you will support the co-ordination and implementation of a number of research programmes from a variety of different specialities. You will be involved in the recruitment of participants, facilitation of the consent process, administration of the clinical interventions required as part of the study (e.g. IV drug infusions), observing and responding to side effects (e.g. anaphylaxis), as well as liaising with drug companies and other study sponsors and ensuring the accurate collection and submission of data, in line with the study protocols and research regulations.

This role will mainly be 8-6pm shifts four days a week, but will have late (10am-8pm), night shifts (19:45-08:15) and weekends depending on study requirements, a Stonewall Diversity Champion.We have active and Executive supported BAME, LGBT+ and Allies, Disability and Long-Term Health Conditions and Women's staff networks.
