Advanced Senior Residential Worker G8 salary £33,945.00 £38,223.00 + + sleep in rate and additional Sunday pay

You will lead a team to deliver outstanding care to children and young people. You will work alongside your team to provide a range of creative and supportive initiatives that empower our children to shine and to achieve their full potential.

Everything that we do for our children in care, needs to be as good as or even better than what we would expect for our own children. Every child deserves a loving home, full of support and opportunities to reach their full potential.

Across the Wigan borough we have 5 residential homes that need amazing people, who are kind, positive, accountable and courageous, to help us to provide love, care and safety for our children. If successful, we will match you to a role as near to your neighbourhood as possible, making it easier to get to and from work. We have homes in Hindley, Standish, Worsley hall and Leigh.

You have probably guessed right; working in one of our children's homes can be challenging. So why would you come and work with us at Team Wigan? Because, we are offering a job that you can take pride in and that will make a real difference to a child's life. Add to this our fantastic rewards and benefits that you get, you will be in a job that truly cares about you, as well as our children.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, fun and caring, who understands the needs of children and young people who may have complex needs, a disability or learning difficulties. As you can imagine, children need caring for 365 days a year, so we operate a rota which includes a mixture of mornings, afternoons, weekends and sleep in duties.
