Join Newcross Healthcare as a Residential Support Worker in the Heywood, Greater Manchester area and be part of a supportive team that provides life-changing care and support to young people., You will be supporting a 16-year-old male within a single occupancy location, he suffers from emotional behavioural disorders (EBD), substance misuse and neglect. He is funny, creative and likes to get out walking. He is learning to become more independent but currently struggles leaving the house often due to anxiety. He has no medication or medical needs. He is currently receiving 2:1 care.

  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to team meetings for staff development and communication
  • Provide care and support to young people, helping them engage in education and social activities
  • Assist with day-to-day tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and organising social activities

    Full UK driving licence
  • Due to a genuine occupational requirement, applicants must be Caucasian males, aged over 30. If that does not fit your profile, please review our other vacancies
  • A minimum 12 months of experience in a Residential setting working with children and young people
  • A desire to work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent

    £13.00 to £15.60 per hour
  • A range of ad-hoc shifts and full-time, temp to perm positions, up to 40 hours per week
  • Shift pattern: 24-hour sleeper shift, with additional £30 payment for the sleeper element
  • Work in a highly rewarding environment with young people, helping them re-enter education and develop important life skills
