Full Job Description

As a Residential Youth Support Worker, you will: + Be a trusted guide and mentor to young people, helping them navigate life's challenges. + Provide hands-on care and emotional support, ensuring the physical and mental well-being of those in our care. + Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to create tailored support plans. + Facilitate daily activities, medication administration, and recreational outings. + Build nurturing relationships to empower young people to grow and develop. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include: + Establishing trust and rapport with young people who have experienced trauma. + Encouraging positive behaviours and emotional resilience. + Organising activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development. + Maintaining detailed records and collaborating with healthcare and educational professionals. + Embracing a culture of continuous reflection and self-care to deliver the best outcomes.

+ Compassionate individuals with a genuine drive to make a difference. + Experience supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs (desirable, not essential as full training is provided) + A willingness to complete (or already hold) a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare. + Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins. + Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
