Full Job Description

We are excited to announce 8 training CWP posts in West London Trust across Hammersmith and Fulham, and Hounslow The purpose of the role is to provide early intervention by way of Guided Self Help (GSH) for children and young people experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties especially those who would not normally meet the threshold or engage with CAMHS.

Alongside working towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Child and Young Person's Psychological Wellbeing Practice at Kings College London (KCL), you will work in clinic under the supervision of a CWP Supervisor and there will be close links with the specialist Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) CAMHS teams.

The training programme is part of the Children and Young Persons Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies (CYP-IAPT). The aim of the programme is to provide evidence-based treatment's that are brief, low in intensity for mild to moderate emotional and behavioural difficulties in children and young people.

This is a training position post holder will undertake training at Kings College London alongside working in service for Hounslow or Hammersmith and Fulham CCAMHS. They will be taught to deliver evidence based guided self-help interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. The post holder will use their newly developed skills to support children and young people who are referred into the service and trainees will receive supervision to support their professional development., West London NHS Trust is one of the most diverse healthcare providers in the UK, delivering a range of mental health and physical healthcare and community services.
