Full Job Description

  • Working as a member of an integrated multi-disciplinary team providing comprehensive assessment of children, young people and families. Planning, implementing and evaluating interventions to address identified needs.
  • Acting as case manager for children and young peoplewith mild to moderate mental health problems.
  • Delivering evidence-based interventions in a group format alongside or under supervision of senior CAMHS practitioners.
  • Monitoring risk and supporting children and young people who present with more severe problems to rapidly access assessment and intervention from senior CAMHS practitioners.
  • Promoting the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.
  • Adhering to Trust policies and procedures and the legislative framework in which children's mental health care is delivered.

    This is an exciting opportunity for Qualified Children & Young People's Wellbeing Practitioners (CYWPs) to join our Sefton Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services Team in Sefton. Please note for Qualified CYWPs registration with BABCP or BPS is essential.
  • We are open to applications from from qualified nurses, social workers and occupational therapists. We are looking for individuals who have skills and experience in engaging families who are from communities that may be at increased risk of social exclusion or marginalisation. Postholders will work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team. They will act as case managers for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health problems and deliver evidence-based interventions alongside or under supervision of senior CAMHS practitioners.

    The services comprise of several multi-disciplinary teams including staff from varied backgrounds, including psychology, psychiatry, social work, nursing and psychotherapy. In addition, our team members are trained in a wealth of different therapeutic interventions and approaches, making the teams truly multi-disciplinary. Sefton CAMHS - post holder will be based at Burlington House, Waterloo. Appointments are offered from Waterloo and Southport bases. Alder Hey are offering excellent benefit schemes

    This will be paid in two parts, £250 in first month pay on commencement in post, and £750 on completion of six months. Accommodation Alder Hey will support the cost of accommodation for up to 3 months from the date of employment (up to £500 per month) The cost is to be paid by the staff member and reclaimed as expenses.
