Full Job Description

This role is being offered on a fixed term or secondment basis for a period of 6 months. As a CYP Nurse Lead, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Region to raise the profile of CYP Nurse Leaders and work closely with Regional Nursing Teams on key issues pertaining to CYP. The post holder will define current processes, facilitate discussions and advise colleagues as to how best practice might be adopted in the definition of future processes, document those processes as they are agreed and oversee their delivery. As an NMC registered nurse, the postholder will draw upon knowledge and experience gained through clinical practice and education to inform operational and policy decisions within this role to ensure the success of the programme.

  • As senior lead working internally and externally to deliver projects, initiatives and services to time and in a cost effective way.
  • To support the identification and sharing of best practice in [discipline] to support service improvement.
  • Support the portfolio of programmes/project in demonstrating value for money tracking, managing and delivering agreed benefits.
  • Drafting reports summarising status on issues, appraising outcomes, and providing progress reports for the Head of the Department.
  • Plan, develop and evaluate methods and processes for gathering analysing, interpreting and presenting data and information.
  • Deliver projects to comply with key performance indicators, and best practice guidance.
  • Ensure projects, services and initiative are delivered on time, to quality standards and in a cost effective manner, adjusting plans as required.
  • Carry responsibility for developing policy and procedure within own discipline/field, including briefings, commissioning, business or resources.
  • Commit to working and engaging constructively with internal and external stakeholders on a range of contentious issues.
