Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our Childrens Continence Team

The newly appointed person will work closely with the team in developing a new Containment Products Service for Dudley Children. You will support with continence toileting plans and help review children that receive containment products.

The post holder will undertake a range of delegated tasks, reporting to the children's continence nurse specialists

The team you will be joining are very supportive. You will be offered both clinical and managerial supervision.

Main duties of the job

This role is to work with children under 19yrs of age; the role greatly involves the understanding of a child's development, especially they're developmental abilities in terms of bladder and bowel function

Assist in the day to day delivery of the Continence Service, through direct patient contact, carrying out assessments and treatments in a timely manner without direct supervision.

Assist in the assessment, review and treatment of toilet training plans

Assist in the assessment and review of children requesting and accessing containment products

Assist in the development and delivery of the Childrens Continence service and Childrens Containment products service.

Independently manage own caseload of patients to optimise patient outcomes

You will be supporting children through their fears and anxieties in regards to toileting.

Supporting parents and carers in the journey of helping their child in gaining continence.

You will be working for a team that will offer ongoing support and supervision.
