Full Job Description

Motive is looking for its next Cinematic Animator to join our team of passionate creators. You will report to the Lead Animator and work on performance/motion capture and keyframe animations for Cinematic content. You will also play an important part in bringing our in-game narrative stories to life by working with the Directors, Lead, animators and cross discipline departments to create high-quality cinematic sequences to have a high impact on the player experience.,

  • Create high-quality, realistic character animations for in-game cinematics, ensuring they meet artistic vision and technical constraints.
  • Collaborate with directors, leads, narrative, previsualization, and technical teams to support storytelling and qualitative objectives.
  • Resolve creative and technical challenges, maintaining the highest quality animations.
  • Meet production deadlines by balancing quality benchmarks with task completion.
  • Facilitate the implementation and testing of animation content in the game by working with integrators.
  • Seek feedback to refine animation quality.

    You have at least 5+ years of experience as a Cinematic Animator for in-game content.
  • You have worked on at least one AA/AAA game or Feature where you were intimately involved in creating narrative content such as cinematics or scripted events.
  • + Unreal Engine experience is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with animation software such as Maya, Motion Builder, or similar tools.
  • Experience with motion capture data and techniques.
  • Experience polishing performance capture data.
  • Experience with character animation, timing, and visual storytelling.
  • You have a keen eye for camera language and framing.
  • You put passion into everything you do and aim to improve our workflows and tools.
