Do you enjoy working in the community with residents and visitors? We are looking to recruit a Civil Enforcement Officer to join a close-knit team of likeminded professionals. Our Civil Enforcement Officers are the eyes and ears of the local community, patrolling areas and providing advice to residents and members of the public whilst enforcing road traffic orders and issuing parking fines.   • To inspect and identify vehicles parked in contravention of parking regulations, Rutland County Council is committed to Equality and Diversity and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.     Capable of lone working safely, previous experience in an enforcement role

  • An excellent communicator able to encourage considerate parking, sometimes
  • in challenging situations, whilst providing a high level of customer service
  • Computer literate, you will be able to apply these skills to using a mobile phone

  • Issue penalty charge notices where necessary, to ensure our roads are safe

  • Full training in parking enforcement will be provided, including conflict

  • Working flexibly 10am-6pm weekdays, with regular evening, weekend and
  • bank holiday work with pay uplifts. Initial training may be within weekday and Saturday 8am-6pm range The successful applicant for this post will be subject to a standard check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS are paid by us. Civil Enforcement Officer interviews will be held week commencing 02 December 2024.
