Full Job Description

We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join the college in the role of a Skills Coach - Civil Engineering to induct, train, review, assess, monitor & track learners working in the relevant vocational field primarily, but not exclusively on employers' premises. The post will involve contributing to the marketing, development, delivery, assessment and evaluation of Apprenticeship programmes to meet market needs and contractual targets and performance criteria. The post holder will maintain a minimum funded learner caseload, in line with Hull College policy and to be agreed with the line manager based on the particular sector subject area(s), the type of employment placement and the geographical spread of students. This role will also be required to undertake Internal Verification duties. Hull College provides high-quality education & training for school leavers & adults, offering a wide range of vocational study programmes, Apprenticeships & degrees, and in October 2023 were awarded a 'Good' rating by Ofsted. Feedback provided was that 'learners and apprentices benefit from high-quality teaching and training' and that 'staff have created a highly inclusive environment in which a diverse group of learners and apprentices learn well together. They promote a culture that proudly celebrates the diversity of the college', and 'work well together and learn from each other, in readiness for the realities of future life and work.' As one of the largest vocational institutes of its kind in the region, we have one focus - to create careers, not courses. We pride ourselves on this approach & are committed to ensuring our learners acquire the relevant skills, knowledge, attitudes & experience to progress in life, whether that is to seek employment in the industry of their choice or step up to higher education & university. While dedicated to delivering the very best experiences to our learners, we also extend the same commitment to our staff. We have worked hard to create an environment where all of our staff, no matter what their role, are empowered to inspire & support our vision to create better futures for the people of Hull. Responsibilities of our Skills Coach - Civil Engineering:
