Full Job Description
Provide engineering technical direction to civil discipline engineers, ensuring all civil design and structural elements are seamlessly integrated across the project's multiple phases and zones.
- Take ownership of design deliverables, reviewing and checking civil and structural designs from both internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring compliance with procedures and current standards.
- Lead the team through the final optioneering stage, preparing for contract award, and overseeing detailed design for construction.
- Act as a mentor and coach, guiding junior engineers and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver solutions that are on-time, on-budget, and of the highest quality.
- Lead efforts to reduce carbon footprints, promote biodiversity, tackle climate change, and drive forward digital innovation in design and construction.
Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent knowledge through work). - Preferably Chartered (or working towards it).
- Proven leadership in civil and structural design in the water/wastewater industry.
- Proven ability in leading and managing teams, delivering projects to budget, program, and quality requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of Wastewater and Sludge Treatment Centres and managing CDM responsibilities.
- Leadership skills focused on coaching, mentoring, and supporting staff welfare.
