Full Job Description

You will assistant the Project Manager in the design delivery within a multi-disciplinary environment, coordinating teams in the production of drawings, reports, risk registers and specifications. This is a client facing role and you will be responsible for reporting the technical and financial performance of projects, including supporting bids on projects including the preparation of tender quality submissions, reviewing contractual documents and preparing financial submissions. You will also contribute to the development and application of best practice within the group and supporting the Global Skills Network initiatives, while providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff., We are committed to making our recruitment process and workplaces accessible to all candidates.   • Degree qualified with chartered professional status, or close to chartership.
  • Technical skills in the design of deep retaining and buried structures and rail civil structures, including overground and underground station design.
  • Strong digital skills and knowledge of sustainability best practice.
  • Proven commercial and contractual roles on projects.
  • Be able to design and deliver civil structural engineering solutions on complex projects.

The Opportunity This is an opportunity for a dynamic individual to grow within, and further strengthen the successful metros team as part of our London Transport Group. This role will involve civil structures design across a range of project types and scales, but primarily focussed around metros, also including rail, highway and pedestrian bridges; underground and overground rail stations; deep retaining structures and renewable energy infrastructure. We work on all stages of projects from feasibility studies, scheme and detailed designs, construction phase technical support and advising on the long-term management of structures.
