Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a CLA (Children Looked After) Tutor at our Chichester campus. You will join us on a part time, term time only basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of pro rata of £26,451 - £28,907 (Full Time Equivalent salary) (i.e. £13,184.81 - £14,409.03).
The CLA (Children Looked After) Tutor role:
Are you looking for a part time, term time only role, whilst also providing life changing support to our learners?
As our CLA Tutor, you will need to be educated to Level 3 in the relevant subject and have Level 2 qualifications in maths and English. It is essential you have experience supporting and working with post-16 students in a group or on a 1:1 basis.

Key Responsibilities of our CLA (Children Looked After) Tutor:
+ Gathering information required for the PEP by communicating with curriculum and pastoral teams.
+ Organising and attending the PEP meetings to present updated information and discuss the CLA s progress, ensuring this is accurately recorded on the relevant ePEP system.
+ Purchasing items as required once funding has been approved by Virtual Schools.
+ Developing respectful trusting relationships with young people.
+ Establishing relationships and liaise with Social Workers, Foster Carers and local authorities to arrange PEP meeting dates.
+ Ensuring database shows a true reflection of the number of CLAs studying across CCG.
+ Ensuring learners with additonal needs have been referred to Additional Support.
+ Ensuring adjustments/support has been implemented for identified learners with additional needs.

Our ideal CLA (Children Looked After) Tutor should have the below skills and experience:
+ Educated to Level 3
+ Experience supporting students post-16
+ Understanding of the study needs and options and progression opportunities for post 16 learners
+ Understanding of Trauma Informed Practice and ACES
+ The ability to communicate to a diverse range of people at all levels, verbally and in writing
+ The ability to follow issues through to conclusion and to meet/exceed targets
