Full Job Description

Based in London (UK) and reporting to the Head of Liability, you will be delivering effective and efficient claims handling across Employers Liability, Public Liability, Products Liability, Environmental Impairment Liability, Excess of Loss, and Clinical Trials. Your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining peer level relationships with brokers, collaborating with other functions to ensure accurate claims administration, and completing general claims administration tasks as required.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
Handle from cradle to grave both UK and international casualty claims, with a particular focus on personal injury claims
Input, process and maintain accurate claims records (e.g., reserves, payments) for designated accounts
Produce management information reports (e.g., monthly major claims movements)
Prepare referral documentation and materials as appropriate
Report loss information internally and externally
Work with other functional areas in the Claims handling process, such as Underwriting and Operations, as well as with colleagues in our offices abroad
Maintain the Claims Portal and administer claims via this system

Experience in handling Employers Liability, Public Liability and Products Liability claims
A good understanding of coverage principles
Understanding of relevant legal framework, processes, procedures, and litigation management
Knowledge of reserving principles and practices
Highly organized, able to prioritize and work to deadlines
Positive team spirit and an excitement to learn
At ease in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience using a Claims Portal
