Full Job Description
We're looking for a Claims Handler to join our Transportation team based in Birmingham / Northampton. As Claims Handler, you'll be working within the Claims team, supporting in proactively managing caseloads of highway claims through to completion. Your day to day will include:
- Managing a caseload of highway claims from start to finish, compiling reports, reviewing evidence, assessing liability, and communicating decisions to claimants
- Negotiating claims settlements within agreed authority levels
- Maintaining accurate claim records within the reporting system
- Controlling input from loss adjusters on cases they are instructed to handle
- Building strong and collaborative relationships with our clients
You have claims handling experience as this is essential for the role - Logical approach to problem solving, attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Able to communicate at all levels with effective time management and comfortable with training junior members of staff
