Canopius is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate claims professional to identify opportunities to enhance the performance of our delegated claims administrators (DCAs), as well as ensuring all DCAs meet their baseline contractual obligations. In addition, this role is responsible for the ongoing benchmarking of our DCAs ensuring, where possible, we only work with those best-in-class DCAs who are committed to delivering the Canopius claims vision and values. Key to this role will be supporting and collaborating the Claims function, working with claims colleagues across the globe and a broad range of stakeholders representing a plethora of Product and Business Units, as well colleagues in the Conduct team, risk team, underwriting teams, complaints team, procurement team, legal team and Delegating Authority Management team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring we receive and review all DCA performance MI and other supporting documentation (such as customer feedback results), evidencing all findings and actions, which should be tracked and resolved in a timely fashion.

  • Working with appropriate stakeholders to address any gaps in our DCA performance MI, ensuring where there are gaps, plans are put in place to mitigate any risks

  • Identifying and escalating any material risks which cause customer detriment or, would result in regulatory or reputation harm

  • Maintaining strong working relationships with all claims colleagues and stakeholders from across the business, to ensure a complete understanding of any associated risks and challenges with our DCAs

  • Work with internal stakeholders on the onboarding of new DCAs to ensure they are fully aware of both our policyholders and Canopius' needs and expectations.

  • With the support of Procurement team and the wider Claims Operations team , work on the capturing and reporting of DCA fees, to include a DCA fee guide per class of business and, territory.

  • Drive collaboration with our DCAs on the appointment of Canopius experts, ensuring all such experts are captured within our contractual documents.

  • With the claims Product teams, identify appropriate claims performance metrics against which we can manage/monitor performance.

  • Work with Claims Operations to build performance reporting tools to underline and identify our best-in-class DCAs per class of business and, territory

  • Maintain an active interest and awareness of market DCA developments and trends, to ensure we consistently stay on the front foot with our DCAs.

  • Ensure any DCAs in run off are closely managed and any associated risks minimised.

  • Proactively and meaningfully contributing to all DCA related project and transformational work in order to drive meaningful change.

  • Work with our Delegated Authority Management team to ensure our contracts are consistently reviewed, updated and reflect all ongoing regulatory requirements.

  • With our Delegated Authority Management team, ensure execution of our DCA audit plan, ensuring all audit recommendations are addressed in a timely fashion.

  • Establishing a network of internal and external key market contacts and proactively developing these relationships in line with our claims vision

  • Be accountable for the collation and production of claims data to support the FCA value measures return and, ongoing Product reviews

  • Provide regular monthly reports or insights to support internal reporting requirements to the Delegated Management Forum, Delegated Claims Management Group, Conduct Oversight Forum and, the Claims Leadership Team

  • Supporting the Claims Operations team in proactively managing and addressing any ad hoc queries or requirements from either internal or external stakeholders

    Candidates should have experience working with delegated business either as a claims adjuster or, in an operational capacity

  • Ability to prioritise and proactively meet deadlines

  • Customer focused and keen to provide the highest quality of service delivery

  • The ability to review data and develop action plans/proposals from that

  • Excellent, impactful communication - open, honest, warm and respectful

  • Competent with Powerpoint, Excel and working with various form of data.
