Full Job Description

  • Be a vital part of identifying, researching and disrupting insurance fraud via intelligence resources
  • 35 hour working week Monday to Friday
  • This is a hybrid role with up to 80% homeworking and 20% in Stratford-upon-Avon
  • About the role We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual to join our Intelligence team. In this role, you'll proactively apply intelligence research methods and leverage the Group Counter Fraud System (GCFS) to support the Claims Validation Intelligence Team and Handlers in tackling claims fraud. As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, you will also play a key role in adopting and integrating new systems designed to enhance our team's capabilities and effectiveness. Your work will involve gathering, assessing, disseminating, and reporting intelligence from internal and external sources to strengthen suspicious claims investigations. By reviewing and evaluating information from a wide range of open and closed sources, you will produce accurate, actionable reports that support both proactive and reactive fraud identification. You will conduct targeted intelligence gathering, provide detailed reports on suspicious claims and claimant profiling, and contribute to the ongoing development of intelligence services to ensure we protect our members from the damaging impact of claims fraud. Collaboration is key in this role, and you will build and maintain strong relationships with counter fraud colleagues and other business areas to ensure the delivery of objectives. Additionally, you will provide expert guidance to the Claims Validation teams to uphold compliance with Data Protection legislation and the NFU Mutual Information Compliance Policy while managing National Intelligence Model-graded intelligence securely and effectively.

You have recent experience in claims, intelligence, or counter-fraud, demonstrating expertise in handling suspicious activities, researching and reporting on sensitive information. With a customer-focused mindset and a collaborative approach, you are confident working in a team environment and using tools like Microsoft Excel to support your work. Your ability to gather and analyse data from diverse sources, including open platforms like social media and secure systems such as NFUM claims data, enables you to produce actionable insights and deliver impactful results. Additionally, you have:
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with experience identifying, gathering, and analysing information from open and closed sources.
  • Excellent critical thinking and report writing abilities, capable of producing clear, logical, and detailed recommendations.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong time management, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement and adopting new systems.
  • Experience with Power BI or database management experience is desirable
