Class 1 Driver

Are you a Class 1 Driver looking for a new challenge? Are you seeking a challenge with a reputable organisation that pride themselves on being able to offer career development to their people?, We are currently recruiting for a full-time, permanent Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our GXO team based at Draycott-in-the-Clay. You will be working an average of 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Please be advised nights out are mandatory for this role.

• A full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement


• A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)


• Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card


• No more than 6 current penalty points


• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years

• An hourly rate of £14.52 with paid overtime of £19.31 after 48 hours and additional £26.20 per night out (plus an early rate 12% of basic rate between the hours of 22:00 -06:00)

What you'll do on a typical day:


• Delivering palletised goods to customer locations across the UK


• Loading and unloading via the curtains or loading bay (you may occasionally need to move pallets with a pump truck)


• Always ensuring the safe and legal operation of your vehicle, guaranteeing the vehicle has been loaded correctly prior to leaving site


• Reporting any issues regarding delivery or vehicle/trailer defects to the transport office
