Class 2 Upskill Driver

Are you an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Driver with a brick grab lorry loader licence, ready to elevate your driving career to new heights? Do you want to deliver B&Q products to happy customers' homes with the precision required in handling a brick grab lorry loader? If so, read on. This might be the opportunity for you!,

• Delivering products to customer premises (room of choice) on multidrop basis - an average of 16 drops per day off peak and 24 drop per day in peak season


• Offering absence/peak support to the lorry loader fleet to deliver bulk products to kerb side locations at customer premises


• Maintain accurate driving/working time records using the Tachomaster system and manual entries to record all working hours as required by the WTD regulations


• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner


• Ensure all products are checked off the vehicle and the customer receive the correct products and delivery documentation


• Keep customers informed of their estimated time of delivery and where issues occur communicate with in a polite and courteous manner
  
  Previous experience in multidrop, store deliveries preferable but not essential


• A full UK driving licence with category C Entitlement


• A current brick grab attachment lorry loader ticket


• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)


• An up to date CPC and Digital Tachograph


• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal


• Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check)


• Be prepared to commute to Dearne Valley, Barnsley (S73 0TB) for the required shift pattern

You'll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on an 'any 5 days out of 7' pattern, contracted to 40hrs per week, with start times in the morning. This role will require flexibility as you will be working on a 3 week rota pattern (provided in advance) including weekends.

As a Class 2 Driver, you'll receive:


• An hourly rate of £14.39, that is an annual salary of £29,931.20


• An additional £5.50 when working on a Sunday
