Full Job Description

We are seeking to appoint a Class Teacher starting January 2025 at the latest.

The successful candidate will be working with a year 3 class

St James is a fantastic school where staff are well supported to provide a well mapped out curriculum and are encouraged to learn and develop as professionals. We invest in schemes for English, Maths and RE to free up staff to deliver lessons and focus on the learning. Behaviour is really strong and our pupils want to learn. Ofsted has been and gone in the Autumn term.

Staff wellbeing is really important to us, but this is not a gimmick, it is embedded into how we work on a daily basis with consideration given to workload and support where needed. Every member of staff gets a half day per term wellbeing time to take when they wish. Flexibility is given when important personal events happen.

Staff CPD is core to our improvement, all staff have been given opportunities to go on Erasmus trips to learn from centres of excellence in Finland, Sweden, Poland, Iceland, Spain and Italy. We work closely with our local schools to develop our staff and have accessed numerous NPQ courses and MA's for staff.

Come and have a look around, meet the school dog Millie, the school cat Sasha, the guinea pigs and the hens. Oh and meet the children and staff! Then put your application in!
