Full Job Description
St Dunstan's School is looking to appoint an experienced and motivated EYFS teacher. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated person committed to improving outcomes for all our children along with a passion for providing inspirational learning experiences. You will be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in the Nursery ensuring equality of opportunity for all as well as being responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards of work incorporating the areas of learning of the Early Years Foundation Stage, to ensure that all our children achieve their full potential. You will liaise closely with parents and carers, professionals and external agencies to achieve the highest possible outcomes for all pupils. This is a 0.6fte position, working days will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The successful candidate will:
- be fully supportive of our Catholic ethos and will be passionate about Catholic Social Teaching
- plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with EYFS framework, focusing on key areas of learning and development
- ensure a smooth transition for the children moving from Nursery to Reception
- create a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages children's curiosity, creativity, and social development
- work closely with teachers and support staff within the wider EYFS team and contribute to the overall school community
- regularly assess and observe children's progress and tailor teaching approaches to meet individual needs
- collaborate with parents and support children's learning both at home and in the school setting
- have a strong commitment to their own learning and professional development
- have emotional intelligence
- have excellent organisational skills
