Full Job Description

The Head teacher and governors are seeking to appoint a committed and experienced classroom teaching assistant to work in our Year 3/4 class in the first instance. The successful candidate will work as part of a highly motivated small school family with a Christian ethos. They will support the ethos of the school and work collaboratively with the class teacher in their responsibility for the development and education of children by utilising detailed knowledge and specialist skills. We are seeking someone who:

  • Will complement the professional work of colleagues under the guidance of teaching / senior staff to implement agreed programmes with individuals or groups.
  • Will be confident covering for the class teacher for occasional, short periods.
  • Has recent experience in helping pupils make strong progress.
  • Is a highly effective and flexible team member.
  • Will promote inclusivity, whilst offering a nurturing approach.
