Full Job Description

If you are, we would love you to join our team - helping to ensure the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall tidiness of Breckland Council Offices.

We're looking for someone to join us and uphold high standards of cleanliness and presentation, contributing to the well-being, comfort, and satisfaction of individuals using the space.

Our Team Purpose (Property & Estates): We manage the Council's investment property portfolio and ensure the best possible financial return. We ensure all the Council's assets are fit for purpose and serving our residents in the most effective way.,

  • Perform cleaning tasks as assigned, ensuring all areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust designated areas, including floors, carpets, furniture, and fixtures.

  • Empty and clean waste bins and dispose of rubbish appropriately.

  • Clean and sanitize washrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures

  • Clean and maintain kitchen areas, including countertops, sinks, and appliances.

  • Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels as needed.

  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective completion of cleaning tasks.

  • Have Previous Cleaning Experience: Demonstrated experience in cleaning roles, preferably in commercial settings.

  • Basic Cleaning Skills: Proficiency in fundamental cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing.

  • Knowledge of Cleaning Products and Equipment: Familiarity with common cleaning products, tools, and equipment used in the cleaning industry.

  • Health and Safety Awareness: Understanding of basic health and safety practices related to cleaning, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and adherence to safety protocols.

  • Reliability and Punctuality: Proven track record of reliability and punctuality in previous roles, with the ability to adhere to assigned work schedules.

  • Have the ability to travel to other sites when/if required.
