Full Job Description

Elms School is looking to recruit a cleaner to join the current cleaning team who play a key role within the school.
The successful candidate will be a team player who takes pride in their work. You will need to be flexible, reliable and have a professional approach towards your work and have the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
The role will require you to:
1. Undertake cleaning of allocated areas in line with specified standards and as directed (this includes classrooms, halls, toilets etc)
2. Operate / use domestic and industrial cleaning equipment and materials, following appropriate training
3. Store allocated equipment and materials safely and securely
4. Perform duties in line with health and safety regulations (COSHH) and take action where hazards are identified, report serious hazards to line manager immediately
5. Collect and dispose of waste
6. Refill and replace soap, towels and other materials
7. Notify the Line Manager or other senior member of staff, of any Health & Safety concerns including damage to building, equipment or anything that may be dangerous to pupils and/or staff
You will need to be:
+ To be physically fit, Access to an on-site HR Advisor, who is also a Mental Health First Aider; Fortnightly Supervision for Teachers; Membership of Benenden Health Care; Access to Support Line Counselling; Menopause Support; SLT open door approach; Team Teach Training; Full Time DSL.
