Full Job Description

At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose - to improve people's lives.

About the Team

Come and join our team of dedicated staff who take pride in our environment and work hard keeping our streets and open spaces clean so they are places we can all enjoy. If you are hardworking, enthusiastic, enjoy working outdoors, and want to help us make a real difference to the quality of our neighbourhoods then apply with us.

About the Role

Our Cleansing department works hard to keep our urban and non-urban areas free from litter and illegally dumped waste, keeping our environment clean. Our aim is to create an environment free from debris, litter, dirt and all sorts of other abandoned waste.

The typical working pattern is 37 hours during the week plus 3 hours contractual over time so a total of 40 hours per week. The contractual over time is used to make up 2 x 6 hour weekend shifts every 4 weeks. These are normally undertaken either on a Saturday or Sunday morning from 6am to 8pm.

Work patterns for our team leader roles can vary but are between Monday to Sunday 6am to 9pm as per the rota. Working hours are between 37/48 hours per week (dependent on specific post).
